Valorant Mobile is still in development, but the work seems to be going slow

Valorant Mobile is arguably the most anticipated mobile game of the year, but it seems to be facing several roadblocks and an inevitable slowdown in its development. Although the development is going to slow down, the developers are still positive about its prospects which can be confirmed by the fact that Riot Games is hiring a Game Designer for Valorant Mobile as per a recent job listing on their official website.

Valorant Mobile seems far from its release due to a slowdown in development

With over three million pre-registrations on Taptap, the much-awaited FPS game has been dominating the leaks and rumours community with a constant circulation of leaked gameplay footage all over the internet. But, it does not seem anywhere close to release soon, as deduced from the official statements by the Riot team.

In a recent Dev Diaries video on the official Valorant Youtube channel, the Executive Producer, Ana Donlon expresses the intent behind taking things slow. She acknowledges the slowdown in the development of Valorant Mobile; she also adds that Riot aims to deliver a polished gaming experience, and their team wants to get it right. However, she did not reveal an official timeline for its release.

In the latest job listing on the Riot Games website, Riot is hiring to expand the development team of Valorant Mobile. It can be observed as a positive sign for all of us gamers excited for the launch of the mobile adaptation of our favourite FPS title on PC; the team seems to be boosting its capacity to churn out the best gaming experience on mobile platforms. The news broke out in a recent tweet by VaviNews.

We are all aware of the Valorant franchise’s success on PC, which seems to have made the development team work on the game even more to be released on mobile platforms. The news is expected to generate mixed reactions from the gaming community because the game has been teased for over two years.
